UPDATE, THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE AND THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC TESTIMONY ALLOWED AT THE PIT BULL TASK FORCE HEARING ON TUESDAY!

I just got a call 5 mins ago telling me there will be NO Public testimony but the Task Force will allow written testimony from the public to be submitted. As I reported previously, I had been told by the Chairman of the Committee, Delegate Curt Anderson the public would be allowed to testify. I was just told that apparently Delegate Anderson must not have been aware that about two dozens groups are testifying, both pro and con. I just want to let everyone know so you can help me spread the word. The public can still attend and present written testimony to the Task Force, tomorrow morning in Annapolis, at the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee room at 10 am.

    Hi Delegate Smigiel,

Thanks again for your work on the Pit Bull Task Force. I attended Tuesday’s briefing and feel very hopeful that thousands of pet owners who would otherwise be forced to choose between their home and their pet will not need to if the task force can propose and pass corrective legislation.
